Mories spark a Mental Health Movement
There I was sitting in Twitter spaces listening to a Crypto Mories team members explain their journey. Wow! What was this project talking about and why was I so intrigued??! Well, the main driver for the project was to bind an agreement with Impact Suites to offer most NFT holders access to mental health therapy. Umm, I knew then Mories was a game-changer for the entire NFT space and a beacon for help.
From that moment forward I questioned, “How could one not want to spread the good word?”
The true undercurrent of the NFT movement has been to change the world. Decentralize and make available important technological ways for all to use. However, the early days are bumpy and extremely volatile as we push for the next phase of adoption. This was were the Mories filled a gap with Web3 mental health.
In the NFT space right now we are watching a major backslide in the crypto market such as Etherum sinking below 2,000USD from ~4,800USD in November 2021. We are moving so fast as developers, creatives, and traders feeling the highs & lows of wins and losses at a rate never seen before. Burnout, serotonin dumps and the market volatility can send us on a roller coaster of emotions but having access to help can give one more set of tools for navigating Web3. Embrace these mental tools to manage the hard times, but also create healthy habits for future endeavors.
Into the Mories
The Mories have an important message for their members and the curious: Kindness and Inclusiveness. As a project with a focus on helping others, the Cryptomories launched as a 10k generative art NFT project originating from the mind of Iwwon (twitter: iwwon_official). Iwwon was narrowly focused on constructing mental health access to the masses which led to assembling a team that employed actual professionals from the healthcare space. One Mories’ team member, iamsad.eth (twitter: degensad) is one of the mental health professionals and keeps his Twitter timeline full of positivity and reminders to check-in on yourself every so often.
The approach to staff mental health professionals has led to a totally different atmosphere of positiveness. The idea clearly resonated within the NFT space as the Mories blasted onto the scene with no roadmap, no white paper, and sold out. Their message from the beginning was kindness and the openness to share without consequences about mental health. From the beginning it was never about the bag, but about the movement!
Intro to Impact Suites
The agreement with Impact Suites 1,000% elevated the Mories project to a pinnacle of how to create partnerships and utility under the banner of kindness and compassion. During the initial buildout phase there was expansive internal talk of mental coverage that led to. RxZen (twitter: RxZen_eth on twitter) who led the charge towards a larger outreach plan through an online partner.
Impact Suites
Impact Suites https://www.impactsuite.com/ became the preferred mental health partner for the Mories after a lengthy negotiation process. Nonetheless, an agreement was entered to cover all Morie holders for Mental health coverage. (Currently, some of the services are bound to particular geographical areas but Impact Suites is exploring expansion options.)
With this amazing coverage you can Schedule a Therapy session, get a lifestyle coach, have access to risk assessment tests, wellness tracking abilities, guided meditations, and availability to go on one of the 14 journeys they have. All of this for holding a Morie NFT. The regions have been slowly expanding with the latest reaching regions like Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East! Worldwide support is just around the corner.
If Utility is key
The NFT movement has the technology and culture to help alter the world. Projects are finding ways to make our lives more convenient and give us access to things we never had before. The Mories have been instrumental in providing others a roadmap for inclusivity but also how the community makes use of an NFT.
Mental health access IS the utility for the Mores and it makes we wonder why this has not been written about in papers and spoken about more in Web3 Twitter Spaces. Instead we get shots at the owner from people angry that their bags a low.
Really?
The Mories give you life changing utility and you complain about the floor? The floor is on the community. Not on the team that is striving to deliver value to the holders. Don’t FUD, go get help. Use the utility!
The ability to reach out and have access to professionals & programs help coping a bit easier or to stay on a healthy path is mission critical these days. Staying personally fit both physically and mentally is key to success in life, and a major key to sustaining in the NFT space.
So, next time you are about to send a FUD tweet or breakdown because of another dip, think about your health and the paths that are being forged right now by others who care. They care about you… not your personal bags or what ETH is doing right now, but you as a person.
The Mories collaboration with Impact Suite has created a partnership that will hopefully thrive for years to come, and help many that are in need to see a better path in front of them. Including myself.
